Welcome to Who Is Your Lord?

The sole purpose of this site is to discover our true thoughts about who we call lord. What we mean by “lord” here is that being (or sometimes thing) which we are submitted to. What we mean by submission is that scary action none of us wants to ever do: to give up our "rights" to self-determination. Lordship has to do with our acquiescing to a power greater than ourselves. It is only decided by how we react in good times and bad times, calm and distress; in regard to what this lord has determined are the right actions to take.

An example of this might be good here. Suppose a person’s lord is money; don’t laugh, it has been lord over many lives. They will then do actions based upon what will add to their wealth and if they have real integrity they will do it very effectively. Integrity here simply means undivided loyalty. Or maybe one’s job is their lord, then according to their integrity their actions will continually be in support their job function.

You get the point. What is also important for this site is that we will also investigate how powerful our lord is in supporting our submission; how able that lord is to stand in crisis in keeping the servant secure. We have put some thoughts on the site based upon our belief that Jesus the Christ is actually the only One who can stand as our support in the big storms, while He is meanwhile making us, who really call Him Lord by our submission and ensuing acts, persons who have become more real; more like Him – a rarity in today’s world.

So, Let’s find out, Who Is Your Lord? We have a discussion thread for those who want to discover more. We only ask that you try to be the mature persons you can be and keep the conversation civil and the language non-offensive.  Please note:
We are still lame about the SMF forum applet, so for now to get back to our page where you left us click the back arrow in your browser. Thanks for coming to Who Is Your Lord?! Or, in the words of Habbu, the Quicky Mart owner on Simpsons says, "Thank you. Come again."
